Note to self (MKEBiz):

I spent most of 2009 setting up the framework, design, direction, and purpose for MKEBiz.org. I also had a strong start in SEO methods, social media networking, and getting to know the blogger community.

Using this as a base, I will put forth these goals for 2010:

  1. Produce more blog content
** Technically this is goal is about using more of my time to blog. I have many ideas that need development and production.
  2. Get more active / interactive with other bloggers
** This being one of the lessons I learned in 2009, i.e, blogging is a tool of social media. It’s not  just about sharing what you have to say, but enjoying what others have to share, participating in their discussions, and working together to help social media evolve / grow.
  3. Participate more in ProBlogger.com
** This goal goes along with #2 (becoming active / interactive with bloggers). I have posted that I joined ProBlogger.com and found it valuable and interesting. So keep on with it . . .
  4. Continue to try new social media tools, applications, services, etc.
** Social media tools and applications are coming out a mile a minute. In order to fully understand and keep up, you have to participate.
  5. Give Google Wave a chance
** With all my plans to play with Google Wave and keep blogging my experiences, I have been disappointed with Wave. It may have been over-hyped, but it does have its place. Find it …. give it a chance.
  6. Continue to have fun
** Remember that I thrive on technology and information. Social media, blogging, Web 2.0 is all about that. Keep it on the Geek side!

That is it for now. Keep on adding this list as social media and blogging evolve this year.

Good set of goals. Google Wave is on my list as well but I still don’t have a compelling case for how it can help me develop and produce content with others better than some of the other tools I am using like email or Basecamp.

Happy New Year

Thanks Greg! There is a big list of “Public Waves” that I have been looking at. I may play around with those to get a feel for it.
Here’s to 2010!
